First Contact

First Contact is broadly about a sentient species’ first encounter with another sentient species, usually humans and alien visitors. It can occur on Earth, in space, or even in another dimension. Its emotions range from the horrific to the helpful and benevolent. The aliens may want to bestow on us peaceful technological advantages.  Perhaps they just want to deliver a cookbook. Or maybe they’re here to ruin our July 4th barbeque and blow stuff up.
