Galactic Empire

Galactic Empire fiction takes place in an expansive galactic empire. A core world is usually its capital and at its societal center. Some writers use it as setting only, others will describe it through its rise and decline. Often, authors draw inspiration from past human empires, such as the Roman Empire. The most famous modern example is Star Wars’ galactic Empire which emerged from the Republic.
