Space Opera

Space Operas are a bit like soap operas in space. They take place on other worlds. Spaceships can stop or accelerate in an instant and fly lengthy distances speedily. The worlds have humanoid life forms, exotic lifeforms, and a breathable atmosphere. Aliens speak accented English. Ray-guns, flying cars, robots, and spaceships feature prominently. Paranormal and spiritual elements are often added in and laws of physics are frequently bent or ignored. Exciting thrills are part of this genre.
